In the final episode of Season 3 for “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” the storyline involving Elias Voit (Sicarius) reached its end, at least temporarily. During this climactic moment, Voit played a crucial part, contributing significantly to the resolution. Although Tessa tried to dissuade him, Voit accomplished something remarkable in the finale, ultimately resulting in a fulfilling ending.
What happened to Voit in the Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 finale?
In the final episode of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3, Tessa aimed to delve into Voit’s sinister side by inciting him to murder Julia. However, Voit ended up killing Perry instead, experiencing a divine sensation during the act. This turn of events ultimately benefited Tessa’s goals.
Following Perry’s death, Voit appears to have come back to life as Sicarius, but it’s all an act. He convinces Tessa he’s on her side and eventually acquires a gun from her. In a bid to protect Julia, Voit feigns shooting at her. He then broadcasts a message over the Sicarius Network, urging his followers to hide. However, this message contained a coded message that revealed the whereabouts of every member. As anticipated, Garcia decodes the message, providing the BAU with the tools to dismantle the network.
In the end, he stops pretending and brandishes a gun toward Tessa, with both JJ and Tyler as witnesses. Tessa manages to flee momentarily, while it appears that Voit is attempting to provoke JJ into shooting him. However, JJ perceives Voit’s intentions. Eventually, Tessa is apprehended, and Voit is detained as well.
Following his arrest, Rossi informs him that the sole means of securing justice for himself and those he had murdered is through a confession. In response, Voit acknowledges all the accusations. This revelation is connected to his murder of Perry. The act of killing Perry brought him a sense of satisfaction, and it served as a reminder that Sicarius was hidden within him somewhere.
In the final scene, a shackled Voit is being transported to a top-tier penitentiary. During this journey, he imagines himself brutally attacking a fellow prisoner aboard the bus.
Will Zach Gilford’s Voit return for Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 4?
It’s undetermined at this point whether Voit will appear in Season 4 of Criminal Minds: Evolution, as there has been no official confirmation. However, since his character is still alive, it’s possible that the show may delve into something related to him in future seasons due to his significant influence.
Maintaining the possibility that he might return is still on the table, despite the fact that his narrative reached a fulfilling ending.
