The third part of the movie “Dune” will be based on the 1969 novel “Dune Messiah” by Frank Herbert. Earlier, people thought the film would be called “Dune Messiah”, but it was announced yesterday that the actual title is “Dune: Part Three”.

Alongside Chalamet, the final cast list features Zendaya playing Chani, Florence Pugh taking on the role of Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa portraying Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke acting as Ghanima Atreides.

The Dune Messiah novel follows the continued tale of Paul Atreides, more infamously recognized as Muad’Dib. Now Emperor of the known universe, he holds power beyond what a single individual was ever intended to control. Adored as a religious figure by the fanatical Fremen, Paul grapples with the hostility from the political houses he ousted when he ascended the throne, and a plot hatched within his inner circle. Meanwhile, House Atreides weakens under the schemes of adversaries, but the real peril to Paul lies in the danger that befalls his beloved, Chani, and the unborn heir to the Atreides lineage…

In December 2026, it’s anticipated that Dune 3 will hit the big screens in U.S. theaters and IMAX, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Following this, Denis Villeneuve is slated to direct a James Bond film for Amazon MGM Studios.
