Spider-Man 4 Adds Key Fantastic Four MCU Crewman to Brand New Day

As a thrilled fan, I’m excitedly sharing that the progress on Spider-Man 4 is moving full steam ahead! The latest scoop hints at an important addition to the team behind the scenes, suggesting that a crucial crew member has officially joined the project.

Who has been added to the Spider-Man: Brand New Day crew?

Based on a resume discovered by social media users, it appears that Alistair Williams has been recruited for the role of Special Effects Supervisor in an upcoming film. Williams boasts a background with Marvel Entertainment, having contributed to The Fantastic Four: First Steps, in addition to working on high-profile productions such as Kraven the Hunter, The Gorge, How to Train Your Dragon, and several Fast & Furious installments.

In a new turn of events, Destin Daniel Cretton is taking charge as director for Spider-Man: Fresh Start, with Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers penning the script. Tom Holland will be back in the web-slinger’s suit once more, playing both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. It’s likely that Emmy winner Zendaya and Jacob Batalo will join him again for this upcoming installment.

New cast members Sadie Sink (from Stranger Things) and Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) are set to join the cast, while Jon Bernthal will make his movie debut as Frank Castle/Punisher in the upcoming film. Bernthal previously portrayed the anti-hero in Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. The production of this project is overseen by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, and Avi Arad.

Spider-Man 4 is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 31, 2026, before both Avengers: Doomsday (which has been rescheduled for December 18, 2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027).
