The Summer Games Done Quick has started again, offering another week of fast-paced gaming action! Join us as top speedrunners from around the globe come together to play popular games from yesteryears and today at record-breaking speeds. As always, they’ll be doing this for charity while streaming live on Twitch, inviting viewers worldwide to watch!
The Summer Games Done Quick 2025 is back in Minneapolis, Minnesota for a seven-day event starting from this year. Funds raised during this occasion will be donated to Doctors Without Borders. After three days into the event, over $540,000 has been collected. We’ll keep you updated throughout the week with the daily schedule and also spotlight some significant runs worth watching, right here on Shacknews.

During GDQ weeks, exhibitions and showcases have grown significantly more prominent. Typically, summer is associated with Tetris: The Grand Master, but this year, something new is being reserved for us. Tetris 99, a popular game on Nintendo Switch Online, will be given some spotlight during this SGDQ to display exceptional skills in its battle royale mode.
5:25PM – Titanfall 2
It’s been some time since Titanfall 2 made an appearance at the GDQ event, but when it did, the gameplay was met with immense enthusiasm from the audience. This upcoming showcase is set to be even more thrilling as it will be a race between two players, who aim to gather every helmet within the game in less than 90 minutes.
12:09AM – The Silly Games Done Quick Block
Every game isn’t a timeless masterpiece, and the Silly Games block serves as a testament to that fact. It’s filled with peculiar choices for speedruns, some good, some not so good, but all leaving an impact. Amongst them lies one Shaq Fu.
