The epic tale of Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is set to premiere in two parts at cinemas. It appears that character Yash will have minimal screen presence in the initial release.
Is Yash only going to have a 15-minute screentime in Ramayana: Part 1?
As per Telly Chakkar’s report, the character of Ravana, portrayed by Yash, will have a screen time of just 15 minutes in the first part of Ramayana. This choice seems to be aimed at emphasizing the tale of Lord Rama’s journey within the storyline.
According to the latest update, the film’s narrative focuses on the main characters’ exile from Ayodhya. Interestingly, the character portrayed by Yash won’t appear until the beginning of the movie, which should spark curiosity about his role in Ramayana: Part 2.
In the meantime, I’m eagerly awaiting the official confirmation that will be shared at the appropriate moment.
As of now, this remains a report, with official confirmation expected in due course.
Ramayana’s Introduction video
Just shared: Recently, the long-anticipated video trailer for the Ramayana film adaptation was revealed, offering tantalizing glimpses of an epic scale. The breathtaking visuals displayed within the teaser were enhanced by the masterful compositions of Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.
In this upcoming production, Ranbir Kapoor takes on the character of Lord Rama, while Rocking Star Yash portrays Ravana. Alongside them, Sai Pallavi will bring Maa Sita to life, and both Ravi Dubey and Sunny Deol join the cast as Lakshmana and Hanuman respectively.
Nitesh Tiwari’s eagerly-anticipated project will split into two releases: The initial segment is set to debut around Diwali in 2026, with the second part following suit during Diwali in 2027.
Yash’s work front
In addition to his role in Ramayana, Yash will soon take on the lead in the period gangster action film titled “Toxic: A Tale of Growing-Up Mischief,” directed by Geetu Mohandas. This movie is centered around a mafia network based in Goa.
Led by the star from KGF, the film boasts a talented cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Sudev Nair, Amit Tiwari, and several others in significant roles. The anticipated movie is set to hit theaters on March 19, 2026.
