At the FanExpo in Denver, the actor from The White Lotus shared insights on the addition of Paapa Essiedu to HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series as Professor Snape. The 62-year-old actor expressed admiration for Essiedu’s acting abilities in The Lazarus Project and criticized those online who have already judged his casting, without having seen him perform the role.
Jason Isaacs expressed to Maggie Lovitt from Collider that Paapa Essiedu is one of the most outstanding actors he’s encountered in his lifetime. He also addressed the negative comments Essiedu has been receiving online regarding his upcoming role as Snape in the Harry Potter series, emphasizing that “the criticism they’re directing at him is rooted in racism.
