L365: Thallumaala’s Austin Das Thomas to direct Mohanlal
Through an official statement, Mohanlal revealed that he will star in Austin Das Thomas’s debut directorial venture. This upcoming movie has been described as a humorous police action flick, with Mohanlal portraying a police officer character.
Mohanlal excitedly shared that his upcoming film will be directed by Austin Dan Thomas and written by Retheesh Ravi, produced under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions. He expressed gratitude for being included in this thrilling new phase.
With the announcement, the superstar not only made it but also posted two images related to L365. One of these was a promotional photo, while the other featured the main team. It’s intriguing to note that Ashiq Usman, himself, financed the movie Thallumaala in 2022.

To clarify, Thallumaala is an action-comedy film in Malayalam, directed by Khalid Rahman. The plot revolves around the character Wazim, also known as Manavaalan Wazim, whose life has been a series of fights that shaped all his relationships.
While juggling brawls and tunes in his life, he’s got a faithful crew of pals by his side, facing off against another group too. In this flick, Austin Das Thomas portrayed the character Rajesh, one of those mates. The movie can be streamed on Netflix.
Mohanlal’s work front
In the coming days, Mohanlal will take on the main character in the movie titled Hridayapoorvam. This upcoming production, helmed by director Sathyan Anthikad, is a heartwarming comedy, featuring Malavika Mohanan and Sangeeth Pratap, who gained fame from Premalu, in significant roles.
