The ensemble for the upcoming remake of “The Thomas Crown Affair” is expanding, as confirmed by THR; they’ve announced that Lily Gladstone and an Academy Award winner have signed on to the project.

Who is joining The Thomas Crown Affair remake cast?

Together with Gladstone, renowned actor Kenneth Branagh and Danai Gurira have signed up for the cast of the upcoming remake. Their specific roles in the movie haven’t been clarified yet, but they will join Michael B. Jordan and Taylor Russell who were previously confirmed for the film. Interestingly, Jordan is not only acting in it but also directing this project.

As a gamer, I’m pumped about Jordan’s take on The Thomas Crown Affair! It’s set to hit theaters on March 5, 2027, and it seems like it’ll have no immediate box office competition. That said, it’s going to be sharing the spotlight with some big names that month: Sonic the Hedgehog 4, the Legend of Zelda movie, and the next Godzilla x Kong epic! The forthcoming heist film is penned by Drew Pearce and Wes Tooke, with a story originating from Alan Trustman, the original movie’s writer. This production is overseen by Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo for Outlier Society, in collaboration with Patrick McCormick and Marc Toberoff. Alan Trustman also takes on an executive producer role, while Charles Roven has joined as another producer.

The first version of this movie premiered in 1968 with Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway playing the main characters. In 1999, a new adaptation hit the screens featuring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo as the lead actors.
