Netflix recently unveiled the trailer for the concluding five episodes of “The Sandman” Season 2. These upcoming episodes are set to premiere on July 24, following closely after the series resumed for its second and last season just a few days ago.

In the preview for the next season, Dream confronts the devastating consequences of Season 2’s episode 6 finale. Having shed family blood, the King of Dreams now jeopardizes himself and his domain. Furthermore, the new trailer hints at a significant shift in the series’ ultimate plotline. Unlike in the source material, it appears that Johanna Constantine will play a more prominent role in the second installment, as snippets of her interactions with Dream are shown.

Following a momentous meeting with his kin, Dream of the Endless finds himself in a series of challenging predicaments as he strives to rescue himself, his realm, and the world at large from the catastrophic consequences of past errors. To make things right, Dream will encounter both old allies and adversaries, gods, beasts, and ordinary people. However, the journey towards redemption is fraught with unforeseen twists and turns, and true penance might demand everything from him.

Allan Heinberg serves as the showrunner for ‘The Sandman,’ a series he also wrote and produced. It’s based on the DC Comic created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Keith, and Mike Dringenberg.
