In the upcoming release, ComingSoon will unveil a special sneak peek of the Thunderbolts sequence, showcasing the astonishing visual effects work that went into creating the most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

What happens in the Thunderbolts* clip?

The unique Thunderbolts clip offers an exclusive glimpse into the making of the film’s visual effects (VFX). Guided by VFX Supervisor Nikos Kalaitzidis, who worked closely with director Jake Schreier and Overall VFX Supervisor Jake Morrison, the team at Digital Domain reveals some of the unseen VFX techniques employed in the movie. They also explain how these effects were skillfully integrated to amplify the practical sets within the film.

You can now stream or purchase “Thunderbolts” digitally, and it’s set for release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD starting July 29th. For collectors, a special edition of the 4K Ultra HD version will be available in a limited SteelBook edition, featuring exclusive artwork and premium packaging. Furthermore, Walmart is offering an exclusive pop-up Blu-ray package within the U.S. market.

The movie was helmed by Jake Schreier, with a script penned by Lee Sung Jin (initially drafted by Eric Pearson). Notable actors in this production are Julia Louis-Dreyfus from “Veep”, portraying Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbour known for “Stranger Things” as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell from “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” playing John Walker/US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen famed for “Ant-Man & The Wasp” as Ava Starr/Ghost, Olga Kurylenko recognized for “Hitman” as Taskmaster, Lewis Pullman from “Top Gun: Maverick” as Sentry, Geraldine Viswanathan seen in “Miracle Workers”, and many others.

Marvel Studios gathers an unusual band of antiheroes consisting of Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes (Falcon), Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker. The official summary reveals that they are drawn into a deadly trap by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. As they struggle with their disillusionment, these outcasts must undertake a perilous journey. Facing the deepest shadows of their pasts, will this fractious group implode or manage to find redemption and unite in time?
