Actor Nathan Fillion, known for playing Superman, recently responded to an article mistaking him for his sibling. In the approaching movie set to debut later this week, he portrays Guy Gardner, a character from the Green Lantern Corps and Justice League team.

Nathan Fillion posts about being confused for lookalike brother

In simpler terms, Nathan Fillion (who played Superman in a show) posted on Instagram a screenshot from an article about his career by Info Petite Nation. Unfortunately, they used a photo of his brother Jeff instead of him as the main image. Instead of getting upset or frustrated, Nathan humorously made light of the mistake.

In his post’s caption, Fillion expressed gratitude to Info Petite Nation for the heartwarming and complimentary article about his career. He mentioned that his family took pleasure in reading it. Particularly, he was appreciative of using a photo of his brother Jeff instead of him, as his family found it amusing. Using the hashtag #neverlivingthisdown.

In the Instagram post, the actor tagged his brother, but as far as I can see, Jeff hasn’t responded or shown any reaction to it yet. Have a look at the post down below:

Fillion’s peers in the film and television world found the amusing predicament quite entertaining. James Gunn, Michelle Monaghan, along with his co-stars from The Rookie – Alyssa Diaz, Jenna Dewan, and Ali Larter – responded with laughter by using the Face with Tears of Joy emoji.

Elizabeth Banks, a colleague of Fillion and Gunn in the movie Slither, exclaimed, “This is fantastic!! Keep it up, JEFF!” Melissa O’Neil, a fellow actor from The Rookie, reacted with astonishment, asking, “Is this for real??” followed by more Laughing Face emojis. Meanwhile, Jonathan Frakes, director of Star Trek: Insurrection, playfully hinted that Jeff was preferred over the Man of Steel.

It appears that Fillion values a close relationship with his brother Jeff, often expressing appreciation for his impact on his life. On June 17, 2024, the actor posted on Instagram, revealing that both his brother and father had contributed to every achievement in his life. He described growing up with them as a source of great joy and listed them among his dearest friends. Fillion also referred to them as intelligent, talented, kind, and worthy of admiration.

Earlier in May 2024, Fillion posted on Instagram to celebrate his brother’s birthday. The 54-year-old stated that the aspects of himself derived from his sibling were among his finest traits. He also acknowledged Jeff as a role model, admitting they were quite distinct from one another.
