Jurassic World Rebirth’s Box Office Posts 2nd Best Global Opening for Franchise

In the cinemas, “Jurassic World Rebirth” is making a powerful entrance, and “F1” is maintaining its position in its second week. Both movies are significantly influencing the current movie market landscape. “Jurassic World Rebirth” has one of the most robust debuts for a July 4 weekend in recent memory, while “F1” persists in its run, albeit experiencing a significant decline from its opening week.

Jurassic World Rebirth roars past $300 million on opening weekend

Dominion, had a powerful start at the box office. It managed to bring in an impressive $91.5 million in its first three days, and over five days, it earned a total of $147.3 million within the U.S. (as reported by Box Office Mojo)

On July 2, 2025, the movie directed by Gareth Edwards debuted and garnered roughly 10 million ticket sales in just five days, as reported by Deadline. The film earned its highest daily revenue on Saturday, with a whopping $36.7 million, marking an approximately 40% increase from the previous day’s total of $26.3 million.

Globally, Rebirth amassed $318.3 million across 82 territories, which is the second most successful worldwide premiere for the franchise, trailing only Jurassic World’s record of $525.5 million. The international markets accounted for approximately $171 million of that total. Dolby Cinema saw its best July 4 weekend yet with earnings of $8 million over five days. AMC Disney Springs in Orlando was the highest-grossing theater, raking in $299,000.

According to PostTrak, 61% of viewers were male, half were between the ages of 18 and 34, and half of all ticket sales happened before 5 p.m. Interestingly, Latino and Hispanic audiences accounted for 26% of ticket purchases.
