Dead By Daylight devs confirm they are offering less Bloodpoints than usual with nerfs delivered “as intended”

At the moment, Dead By Daylight enthusiasts are rejoicing over the conclusion of the Twisted Masquerade event, which marks Behaviour’s annual anniversary celebration. During this festive period, players can collect a significant amount of Bloodpoints and Shards via daily login bonuses. However, some Dead By Daylight players have observed a decrease in receiving cake during these daily logins. Regrettably, in response to the concerns raised, the developers of Dead By Daylight have admitted that they are providing fewer Bloodpoints than typical, with recent adjustments functioning exactly as planned.

Dead By Daylight devs offering less Bloodpoints “as intended”

After the launch of update 9.0.2, some Reddit users claimed that BeHaviour had continued to overlook the “cake problem”. In response, the official DeadbyDaylight_dev account on Reddit stated that they had previously addressed the issue with cakes only appearing incorrectly in bloodwebs at level 50 or characters at player level 100.

In response to this, DeadbyDaylight_dev stated, “We acknowledge that the cakes aren’t showing up as frequently as they used to; however, they’re appearing according to plan.” This implies that the rate at which cakes drop has been reduced, meaning Behaviour Interactive is providing fewer Bloodpoints than typical.

As a result of BeHaviour’s confirmation, there was a wave of criticism following the comment, with it garnering over 400 disapprovals. Many responses mirrored the feelings “this is terrible” and “stop spoiling the fun”. Additionally, some users accused the developer of making the process of earning BP even more tedious.

I’ve found that if you aim to collect BP offerings, the bulk option is best. I get approximately 15-20 more cakes with each level up compared to using the manual or central node method.

BeHaviour Interactive has made changes to the rate at which cakes drop, and it appears this adjustment is deliberate. Some users have humorously suggested that they might teach us about the Blood Point Economy, while another user expressed frustration, saying “It’s their anniversary, why would they decide to make things less festive?

It seems that BeHaviour isn’t planning to customize cakes according to fan preferences at this time. This news is quite unfortunate, considering the daily login count of Bloodpoints hasn’t managed to reach a million yet.
