Supporters of the daytime drama “General Hospital” on ABC suspect that character Michael Corinthos III (played by Rory Gibson) is acting unkindly towards his ex-wife Willow Tait (portrayed by Katelyn MacMullen). Their marriage ended in a contentious divorce, followed by a prolonged and painful custody battle over their two children. In the end, Michael gained full legal and physical custody of Wiley and Amelia, leaving Willow heartbroken. Since then, Michael’s interactions with Willow have been frosty and aloof, sparking discussions among viewers about whether he is intentionally being harsh towards his former partner.
Is Michael being cruel to Willow on General Hospital?
In the latest episode of General Hospital, Michael takes Wiley for a swimming lesson. From afar, he notices Willow observing them. Feeling it necessary, he asks her to depart. Michael understands that it’s tough for her to stay away from her children, but he remains indifferent. It’s true that Willow has committed some regrettable mistakes in the past, and those errors are starting to take their toll on her. She chose Drew over her children at one point, a decision she now deeply regrets due to not being able to see them because of legal orders. All she can do is grapple with her past actions and try to connect with her kids whenever possible.
Despite intending to upset Willow, Michael’s actions inadvertently cause distress to his own kids. In that particular episode, Wiley makes a beeline for his mom, showing just how much he longs for her.
Michael and Willow have to figure out a way forward, or their children will continue to suffer.
