Prabhas will join forces with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for the first time in the eagerly awaited film titled Spirit. This upcoming project is said to be one of Sandeep’s most daring undertakings, generating a lot of anticipation among enthusiasts. Lately, an intriguing tidbit about the movie was shared by Sandeep’s brother.
When will shooting for Spirit begin?
More recently, during a public gathering, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brother, Pranay, shared some exciting news about an upcoming film. At the Celebrity Cricket Mela event held in the USA, he revealed that production on the movie featuring Prabhas will commence and shooting will start from September 2025 onwards.
Prabhas to shoot Spirit with no breaks?
According to earlier information, it appears that filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga asked actor Prabhas to reserve numerous dates for the filming of Spirit. This request was made because the character demands a significantly different appearance and physique from Prabhas.
Due to this, Prabhas wouldn’t be able to switch to another project during filming. Instead, he will finish all his current tasks before moving on to Spirit, ensuring that the entire production is finished uninterruptedly.
Triptii Dimri replaced Deepika Padukone as lead opposite Prabhas
Recently, the project named “Spirit” has been drawing much interest due to the rumor that Bollywood star Deepika Padukone may have withdrawn from the movie. Subsequently, the producers revealed Triptii Dimri as the replacement for the leading role.
For those not familiar, Triptii has previously worked alongside Sandeep Reddy Vanga on the film “Animal,” which features Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna as the main characters.
The decision made by the actress from Piku stirred up a lot of debate, as there were rumors that she left the production because the producers and creators didn’t fulfill her requirements. Additionally, there was a lot of chatter about her requesting a specific work schedule, following which she withdrew from the project.
Prabhas’ work front
Currently, Prabhas is aiming for a release in December 2025 with the Maruthi-directed romantic horror comedy, “The Raja Saab”. Additionally, he is working on Hanu Raghavapudi’s film, provisionally called “Fauji”.
