Summary

  • New AWD Carrera 4S Coupé, Cabriolet, and Targa 4S debut with 480 PS
  • Targa celebrates 60 years with signature roof and standard rear-wheel steering
  • Upgraded tech includes GTS brakes, wireless charging, and matrix LED headlights

Porsche has introduced three new all-wheel-drive versions of the 911 model: the Carrera 4S Coupe, Cabriolet, and Targa 4S, increasing the total number of AWD 911s to six. These models are situated just below the GTS series. The new variants come equipped with a 3-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine that generates 480 horsepower, which is 30 hp more than its predecessors. The Carrera 4S Coupe accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds when using the Sport Chrono Package and can reach a top speed of 191 mph.

These models feature Porsche’s sophisticated PTM all-wheel drive system, which leans more towards rear dynamics and an electromechanically managed water-cooled front clutch for improved traction and driver assurance under various weather conditions. The Targa 4S, celebrating 60 years of the renowned Targa body style, sports a fully automatic roof mechanism and its signature wide roll bar.

The new model features enhanced standard equipment: it now includes rear-steering (for Targa), brakes derived from the GTS version, matrix LED headlights, a leather interior, and wireless phone charging. The Coupe is a two-seater with optional rear seating; however, both the Cabriolet and Targa models come with standard rear seating.
