Nazi Relics Unleash An Ancient Evil in Solvent Trailer | Exclusive

In the near future, ComingSoon is set to unveil an exclusive sneak peek at the trailer for the upcoming U.S. launch of the mystery-drama titled “Solvent”. This special screening was initially presented at the 2024 Slash Filmfestival in Vienna. Now, the movie will make its theatrical debut at Alamo Drafthouse Lower Manhattan on August 16 and at Alamo Drathouse DTLA on August 22. Following these premieres, the film will be available for digital viewing on October 10, 2025.

ComingSoon will soon release a special trailer for “Solvent”, a supernatural mystery drama. This preview was first shown at the Slash Filmfestival in Vienna. The movie’s theater release is scheduled for August 16 (Alamo Drafthouse Lower Manhattan) and August 22 (Alamo Drathouse DTLA), with a digital version available starting October 10, 2025.

What is Solvent about?

A U.S. resident living abroad becomes part of a group investigating a deserted Austrian farmhouse for potentially hidden Nazi historical records. Yet, when they uncover a concealed secret beneath the house’s depths, the team must grapple with an old, relentless evil determined to devour them and all that they cherish.

Titled as a personal horror film, Solvent is helmed by Johannes Grenzfurthner, who collaborated with Benjamin Roberts on the script. The actors include Jon Gries, Aleksandra Cwen, Johannes Grenzfurthner himself, Roland Grtzer, Jasmin Hagendorfer, Ronald von den Sternen, Peter Plos, and Sky Elobar. Its overall duration spans 94 minutes, equivalent to one hour and thirty-four minutes.

This Austrian film in the English language is spearheaded by producers Günther Friesinger, Julianne Gabert, Johannes Grenzfurthner, and Jasmin Hagerdorfer. Additionally, Tom Gorai, Neal Jones, Annick Mahnert, and Bill Strauss are playing executive producer roles. The creative team also comprises cinematographer Florian Hofer, editor Anton Paievski, and composer Pieter de Graaf. Since its premiere, the movie has garnered a Tomatometer rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, from 15 reviews.
