How to upgrade your PCC to Level 2 in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

In the course of Death Stranding 2, you’ll often find yourself constructing various structures. Sometimes, there won’t be a helpful bridge or charger provided by another courier. Luckily, your Personal Construction Capsule (PCC) allows you to build structures, but it begins at level one. To elevate it to level two, here’s how:

1. Use the PCC to construct structures around the map. Each structure you build contributes to the experience points earned by your PCC.
2. As you accumulate enough experience points, your PCC will level up automatically. Once it reaches level two, you’ll have access to more advanced construction options and increased durability for your structures.

How to upgrade your PCC to Level 2 in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

To advance your PCC, you should progress through the game until you reach Mission 21 in Chapter 6, which lies deep within the storyline. This mission is titled “Save the Dowser’s Friend from the Armed Survivalists.” Upon its completion, you will receive the upgrade for your PCC and gain the ability to construct ziplines, a valuable asset to your collection of structures.

At level two, you will have access to all the structures below:

  • Bridge – you can start a bridge, and then add metals to finish the construction.
  • Postboxes – useful small structures for holding cargo, recycling items, storing things, or making new weapons and gear.
  • Watchtowers – these useful towers allow you to look at the landscape from a great height, spying on enemies or checking out routes.
  • Timefall Shelters – a great place to hide from the rain, or protect yourself from BTs.
  • Generators – incredibly useful pylons that allow you to charge vehicles.
  • Ziplines (Lvl 2) – rapidly travel across the landscape with your cargo..
  • Safehouses – These need resources to build fully, such as resin, special alloys, and chirals crystals. They give you access to a private room out in the world, along with vehicle repair.
  • Jump Ramps – This will launch you through the air, and thankfully, you don’t take fall damage at the other end.
  • Transponders – Transponders act as a fast travel point for Sam, but oddly enough, you cannot bring cargo with you.
  • Hot Spring Digger – These will give you access to Hot Springs, but only at select locations.
  • Chiral Bridges – Long, extended energy bridges that can be set up in more harsh areas than the standard bridges.
  • Cargo Catapult – Launch your cargo into the distance.
