43-year-old South Korean actress Lee Seo-yi has tragically passed away, leaving her devoted fans devastated. Her manager confirmed the news through a post on social media. Lee Seo-yi rose to fame with her captivating performances in series such as Killing Romance, Scarlet Innocence, and The King. In her latest role, she starred in the romantic comedy drama The Divorce Insurance.

On Lee Seo-yi’s Instagram, it was shared by her manager that she had sadly passed away at the age of 43. According to the post, Seo-yi breathed her last on June 20, 2025.
The manager posted a picture of actress Lee Seo-bin along with a heartfelt message, saying “My dear sister, you were brilliant, beautiful, kind, and lovely. On June 20th, 2017, you ascended to the stars. It will be a shocking and sorrowful moment for everyone when they read your obituary. I ask that you pray for my sister’s soul as she departs to a better place. I am posting this on behalf of her grieving parents.” (translation by Me)

Moreover, as per a report by Chosun Biz, Seo-yi’s manager shared thoughts about the actress’s passing with OSEN. He expressed, “My sister was full of life and had a deep passion for acting. She was a cherished sister who found joy even in minor roles.” Reflecting on the past, he mentioned that he wasn’t able to be with Seo-yi during The Divorce Insurance filming last year. However, they kept in touch, and she was eagerly anticipating her time on set at that moment.
Seo-yi’s manager emphasized that he wished for the actress to be fondly remembered as someone exceptional. He also mentioned, “The person I knew was always courageous and determined. Whatever tasks were assigned to my sister, she put more effort into them than anyone else, even in minor roles, and lived with a heart full of gratitude.
