Mammootty’s career is now part of college curriculum
As per a report from Cinema Express, the curriculum for the Bachelor of Arts (Honors) History program at Maharaja’s College in Kochi has been updated to pay homage to a notable figure in Mollywood (Kerala film industry).
Essentially, Mammootty’s career is now studied as part of the curriculum, since he was an esteemed graduate from the very same institution.
The upcoming elective for second-year BA students, called “The History of Malayalam Cinema,” now includes his life and works, a decision proposed by the college’s academic council.
Reports about Mammootty’s health scare
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve noticed a growing chatter regarding Malayalam cinema icon, Mammootty, seemingly taking a step back from the spotlight. The whispers began with rumors suggesting his health might be compromised, specifically about potential cancer diagnoses swirling around. However, it’s essential to remember that these are just speculations and it’s crucial to respect the actor’s privacy during this time.
Subsequently, John Brittas, Rajya Sabha MP and personal acquaintance of the Mollywood actor, provided clarification about the issue at hand.
In an interview with the media, I shared that Mammootty, whom I am following closely, is dealing with a minor health issue at present. Rest assured, he’s doing fine as we spoke over the phone just recently.
He mentioned, ‘Though we’ve been friends for a while without discussing our private matters much, lately, we’ve started to share more about our personal lives.’
Mammootty’s work front
Speaking of recent ventures, Mammootty’s latest roles have been in “Bazooka” and “Dominic And The Lady’s Purse”. These films had a good run at the cinema and we’re currently waiting for news regarding their streaming platform debut.
At the moment, he’s working on the film “Patriot,” directed by Mahesh Narayanan, where Mohanlal and Nayanthara have significant parts.
