And here’s some exciting news: Before The Edge of Fate sets sail, Bungie is offering an incredible opportunity for players to amass a fortune of it with their Lootapalooza event. If you’re wondering what Lootapalooza is and when it kicks off, I share your curiosity!

When is lootapalooza?



Beginning on July 8, Destiny 2’s Lootapalooza kicks off and continues until July 15. During this time, The Edge of Fate will be released, allowing players to explore the latest Kelper location and embark on its campaign. It’s not the first time Bungie has held an event like these; in fact, every new expansion is typically preceded by a period rich with rewards and growth.

What is lootapalooza?

You may already be aware of when Lootapalooza starts, but if you’re new to Destiny 2 or have forgotten, let me remind you. In essence, Lootapalooza is a brief timeframe where currency rewards and weapon drops are significantly boosted. For instance, at the end of Episode 3: Heresy, Lootapalooza will provide increased loot from dungeons, specifically more currency and weapons from enemies, with even more coming from the final boss chest (once all encounters have been completed).

You could potentially be receiving twice as many rewards from each interaction, and if you manage to finish them all, the final reward will be even greater! This resembles the ‘Into the Light’ scenario, where players can amass significantly more valuable loot before reaching ‘The Final Shape.’
