In a recent interview, he acknowledged the varied reactions to the Dominique Thorne-led production, yet expressed continued pride in the finished project. The Ironheart series made its debut with the first three episodes on June 25.
Anthony Ramos says he is proud of Ironheart, isn’t worried about backlash
During a recent conversation, the actor from Twisters expressed that it’s natural for individuals to hold varying viewpoints on various topics. He offered a unique take on the ongoing debate about Ironheart, suggesting that, at minimum, the show has generated buzz and is currently popular.
In simpler terms, Anthony Ramos expressed to Buzzfeed that there will always be negativity, even in projects like Ironheart where he’s involved. He previously experienced criticism in Transformers, and now, with Ironheart, people are talking negatively again. However, he emphasized that everyone is free to say whatever they want, but at the end of the day, the team is proud of what they’ve created.
Anthony Ramos wrapped up his remarks by explaining the reason behind the unfavorable reactions towards Ironheart. He said, “Since we’re not the first in this category but distinctly different from other shows, we’ve given ourselves an opportunity for people to voice their opinions. Everyone has a right to their opinion, and at least they’re discussing it. If they weren’t, then I’d be concerned.
To date, the initial three episodes of Ironheart have received a mix of opinions from reviewers. Matt Morrison from SuperHeroHype rated it a moderate 5 out of 10, finding it somewhat uninspiring and lacking in impact. Despite this feedback, there are still three more episodes left to be released, airing on Disney+ at 6 PM PT on July 1.
