Here’s what happened to Ronnie Coleman
Legendary bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman, known as the “greatest Mr. Olympia ever,” continues to display remarkable strength and tenacity during his hospital stay. An update on his health situation was recently posted on his official Facebook page.
It was stated that Coleman was hospitalized on June 29 (Sunday) because of a severe health issue. However, the Coleman family chose not to disclose the exact nature of the bodybuilder’s ailment.
The family has requested that they won’t provide further information at the moment, because their primary concern is Ronnie’s healing and health. They humbly ask for your comprehension and cooperation in maintaining a considerate and speculation-free atmosphere.
Furthermore, they asked supporters to trust solely in updates provided by authentic channels. Concluding their message, they acknowledged Ronnie’s influence on his followers, stating that “Ronnie has consistently motivated the world with his resilience and compassion, and we are certain he senses the affection and strength sent towards him.
Apart from that, Coleman personally communicated with his followers on Instagram. In an update on his story, the record-holder of Mr. Olympia mentioned, “I regret to inform you all that I won’t be able to travel to the UK this week as planned. Unfortunately, I encountered a medical emergency and must stay in the U.S. for treatment instead.
He reassured them by saying, ‘Don’t fret… I’m in capable hands, receiving top-notch care, and I’m finding the strength to persevere. I’ll bounce back stronger than ever, and I can hardly wait to rejoin you all soon!’
Previously, Coleman had been admitted to the hospital multiple times due to surgeries. In February 2016, he experienced his sixth significant surgery, which was a back operation that lasted over 11 hours. This extensive procedure left him temporarily unable to walk and required him to use a wheelchair for some time.
Eight-time titleholder in the Mr. Olympia competition has undergone several operations since 2007, with procedures such as hip replacements and spinal fusions being among them (as reported by Straight Talking Fitness).
