In response to the question about how Superman might respond to meeting Batman, Gunn said, “Firstly, it’s uncertain if Superman has already encountered someone dressed as a bat. However, considering they both have unusual costumes and share an unconventional lifestyle, I believe he would view Batman as a fellow unique individual with a distinctive purpose.

In the upcoming Superman movie, it’s been established that the story starts with Superman three years into his superhero career. This implies that Batman might have been active at the same time, potentially even having a secret encounter. Gunn hinted that their interaction in the new DC Universe will portray a bond of mutual respect and camaraderie, much like their “World’s Finest” dynamic from various comic book storylines.

In their comic book adventures, Superman and Batman have moved from being somewhat mistrustful partners to good friends.
