Delta Force console release date officially announced

For over a year, PC gamers have been enjoying Delta Force, but console users have been eagerly awaiting news about its release on Xbox and PlayStation. At last, we’ve got some good news!

When is Delta Force coming to consoles?

On August 19, 2025, the highly-anticipated “Delta Force” game will officially launch on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms. The wait has been challenging for Delta Force fans everywhere, and it’s caused quite a bit of inconvenience. Developers Team Jade have been somewhat secretive about the release timeline for their game on these specific consoles.

Over the past few months, we’ve primarily been told “we’re working on it,” with the assurance that updates are still forthcoming. Lately, however, there’s been a glimmer of optimism as controller support has been implemented in the Battlefield-like Warfare mode, serving not only as a fun gameplay feature but also as a testing ground for the Operations extraction mode using controllers.

Team Jade prioritized ensuring balance when introducing Delta Force to consoles, as they were focused mainly on adjusting the gameplay to maintain fairness across all platforms. This involves fine-tuning the aim assist feature, which can be challenging in a shooter game that emphasizes extraction. The goal is to acknowledge player skill regardless of input device, while simultaneously leveling the playing field for console users against the potential advantages of faster movement and higher precision offered by keyboard and mouse.

It remains to be seen if Delta Force made the correct decision, but the game clearly needs a boost with new players in both modes, which is exactly what it will receive on August 19th.
