In the heartfelt video, Martin speaks directly to the audience, saying, “Hello, it’s Tanner here. If you’re watching this now, I’m no longer alive.” He shared his intention of creating a video that was both amusing and significant so that Shay could concentrate on the grieving process without worrying about his final words.

Martin expressed heartfelt appreciation for the life he led, stating, “I lived an extraordinary life.” He acknowledged another person who had posted a similar sentiment online as his inspiration.
