New Superman clip hints Lex Luthor will kidnap Krypto
In this scene, it’s shown that Lex has taken Krypto, Superman’s beloved pet, which leads Superman to forcefully enter Lex’s office. With a powerful burst, Superman removes the doors from their hinges and pushes Lex’s desk aside. He then demands to be told where Krypto is being held.

In this tense standoff, I, Lex Luthor, remain composed, taking sips from my steaming coffee while Superman unleashes his fury. This moment showcases the psychological chess game I’m playing, maintaining my cool and goading Superman without resorting to immediate retaliation. The scene subtly underscores Lex’s signature strategy of using Superman’s loved ones as pawns, a tactic often seen in our comic book history.
In line with Lex’s comic background, kidnapping is a recurring tactic. Characters like Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Martha Kent have fallen victim to this strategy in the past. The recent abduction of Krypto, however, presents a fresh target for Lex’s manipulative schemes. This action might signal Lex’s curiosity about Kryptonian biology, which he could explore through an undefended subject. This interest may stem from scientific or exploitative intentions.
Originally known as Superman: Legacy, the movie presents a fresh start for the DC Universe on screen. David Corenswet plays the roles of both Clark Kent and Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan portraying Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult stepping into Lex Luthor’s shoes. The star-studded cast further includes Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.
As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share that some new faces have joined the cast in this exciting project. Maxwell Lord, portrayed by Sean Gunn, is one such character. We also have Angela Spica/The Engineer, played by María Gabriela de Faría, and Eve Teschmacher, brought to life by Sara Sampaio. Wendell Pierce steps into the shoes of Perry White, while Anthony Carrigan takes on the role of Metamorpho. The Kents are portrayed by Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell. Lastly, Milly Alcock will be gracing our screens as Supergirl before her standalone movie debut.
Superman hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
