Ironheart’s Alden Ehrenreich Reacts to Shocking MCU Reveal About Character

As a gaming enthusiast diving into Disney+’s “Ironheart”, I stumbled upon an intriguing twist in the third episode that gave us a deeper look into Alden Ehrenreich‘s character. In a recent interview, he shared some insights on this significant unveiling.

What did Alden Ehrenreich say about his MCU character?

In the third installment of Ironheart, we discover that the character “Joe McGillicuddy,” portrayed by Ehrenreich, is actually Ezekiel Stane, the offspring of Obadiah Stane – a role previously played by Jeff Bridges in the 2008 version of Iron Man. This revelation links the series to the initial film and sets up more enigmas for us to solve in the remaining episodes.

In an interview with ScreenRant, Ehrenreich shared his thoughts on the revelation, discussing what it felt like to portray a character linked to the early days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ehrenreich expressed, “It’s truly exciting to be involved in a project that links to the grand narrative of the Marvel story, given that character appeared in the initial Marvel film that sparked this phenomenon. Additionally, I had already collaborated with Robert Downey Jr., so discussing this role with him was a pleasant bonus.

Besides sharing insights into his chat with Robert Downey Jr., the actor revealed that during their brief encounter, he inquired from the esteemed actor if he should accept the role, a question posed to the iconic star himself.

I’ve just finished a video call with him, and I asked, ‘By the way, I’ve got this opportunity, it’s a role. What are your thoughts?’ He replied, ‘Go for it.’
