Ironheart: Where Disney+ Show Fits in MCU Timeline Revealed

Where Ironheart fits into the MCU timeline has been revealed.

Tonight, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the initial three episodes of Marvel Studios’ series “Ironheart” will debut on Disney+. Following the storyline of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the show brings back Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, with Anthony Ramos portraying Parker Robbins/The Hood.

When does Ironheart take place?

In a conversation with The Direct, Ironheart’s producers Sev Ohanian and Zoie Nagelhout shared details about the timeline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) at the start of their show, relative to the events that took place in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

In approximately less than a year, or between half a year to a full year, following the release of Wakanda: Forever, Nagelhout stated.

Ohanian stated, “Indeed, I’m the one who pointed out that Spider-Man: Homecoming didn’t fit with the eight years later timeline. The consistency of the timeline is significant for me. However, in creating the series, it was always planned to be around six months to a year after Wakanda. To be truthful, I can’t recall how we arrived at that, but that was our original goal. And I should mention that some Marvel productions are set at various points in the 2020s. In my view, it would be approximately six months following [Wakanda Forever].

In the wake of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ironheart, from Marvel Television, presents a clash between technology and magic. The story follows Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne), a brilliant young inventor from Chicago who’s set on leaving her mark globally. Her innovative approach to creating iron suits is impressive, but as she chases her dreams, she crosses paths with the enigmatic and charismatic Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood (Anthony Ramos).

Ironheart has six episodes in total, the final three of which will be released on July 1, 2025.
