Smash Bros pro player Mang0 released from Cloud9

Over the past week, I’ve witnessed a storm of focus within the Smash esports community, but it wasn’t due to any positive developments. Regrettably, my favorite player, Joseph Marquez, also known as Mang0, found himself at the center of unwanted attention following inappropriate conduct during a livestream event while under the influence. As a result, Cloud9, who had been supporting him in various esports events and ventures, has decided to part ways with him.

As a gamer, I’m sharing that Cloud9 recently announced they’re parting ways with Mang0. After thoroughly examining the evidence, they stated that he didn’t maintain a “respectful, welcoming, and secure atmosphere for anyone linked to Cloud9.

For those unaware, gaming pro Mang0 took part in Ludwig’s “Beerio Kart World Cup,” an occasion where numerous streamers gathered. In this gathering, while livestreaming, a visibly drunk Mang0 appeared on camera and made inappropriate advances towards Maya. Despite her obvious discomfort, Mang0 persisted with such behavior, as claimed by other content creators, throughout the event.

Consequently, Ludwig addressed the issue with participants at the event and online spectators, and prohibited Mang0 from attending his upcoming gatherings.

Following Ludwig’s suspension and Mang0’s own apology through his individual platforms, Cloud9 issued a statement. It’s uncertain where the ex-Smash Bros. champion will head next, but it won’t be with Cloud9. Keep an eye on Fighting Game Community updates for further developments in this story.
