This coming summer, Palace collaborates once more with the renowned French designer and artist Jean Charles de Castelbajac on their third joint capsule collection. Taking inspiration from Castelbajac’s trademark collage style, this collaboration brings his whimsical art to life as fashionable statements. The collection includes jackets, jeans, hoodies, t-shirts, and sweaters, all embellished with lettering cut-outs, random shapes, and vivid graphic narratives.
In his third collaboration with Palace, Castelbajac explains that he aimed to blur the lines between art, clothing, aesthetics, and motion. He describes each piece as a dynamic work of art, a collectible treasure, and a unique tribute to graphic legends across the globe. Castelbajac’s distinctive visual style breathes new life into Palace’s streetwear aesthetic by deconstructing and reimagining their typography with techniques like felt appliqué, layered prints, and dreamlike graphics. The collection is heavily influenced by nostalgic pop-art elements, as seen in the vibrant color schemes, checkerboard patterns, and abstract designs that run throughout the line.
Notable features encompass a vibrant varsity jacket adorned with unconventional text logos, accompanied by hoodies and long-sleeved t-shirts showcasing Castelbajac’s recognizable collage artwork. Denim jackets styled after workwear and wide-legged pants in black and white provide a base for striking visual cut-outs and whimsical graphic enhancements, harmoniously merging art and street fashion in the true essence of collaboration.
Alongside the Jean Charles de Castelbajac collection, Palace also presents fresh additions to its regular seasonal line for Summer 2025. The headliner of Drop 8 is the Clear Visor P 6-Panel cap, available in black, navy, and white. This design features a comfortable woven foundation combined with a stylish see-through visor; the black model maintains a subtle elegance, while the navy sports an electric blue hue, and the white version showcases a vibrant hot pink.
Starting June 27, 11 a.m. EDT/BST, the Jean Charles de Castelbajac collection for The Palace will be accessible online. In Japan and Korea, it will go live on June 28, also at 11 a.m. local time. Additionally, the complete collection will be available at The Palace’s main stores and Dover Street Market outlets in London, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Ginza.
