Discussions about adidas sneakers have primarily revolved around their football-inspired designs, such as the Samba in the past and more recently, cleats adapted for everyday use. Yet, there’s one collection that is subtly making a strong argument to be among Adidas’ top offerings.
The Adidas Megaride collection, initially launched in the early 2000s, has experienced a revival over the past year, partly due to daring partnerships with designers like Taqwa Bint Ali and AVAVAV. Now, the Megaride AG is at the forefront. Recently, only 60 pairs of this sample colorway, as showcased by Tyler “Arab Lincoln” Mansour, were manufactured, offering a sneak peek into the new design. The Megaride’s tunnels are situated in the midsole, providing excellent cushioning, while the upper features a mesh foundation with stylish overlays, including Adidas branding on each side of the shoe.
As I write, Adidas hasn’t specified when the Megaride AG will hit store shelves for sale. For now, take a sneak peek at the design through this sample colorway. Keep an eye out for announcements as we anticipate the new model to become available later this year, both from Adidas and select retailers.
