In just a month, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: Beginnings will hit the big screen. This film is led by director Matt Shakman, with Pedro Pascal portraying Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby stepping into Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach taking on Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn playing Johnny Storm/Human Torch.
In the upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, currently under production, we’ll see the reappearance of Pascal, Kirby, Moss-Bachrach, and Quinn’s Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. This movie is being helmed by the Russo Brothers, a duo famously known as Joe and Anthony Russo.

According to Deadline’s report from CineEurope, Marvel’s Kevin Feige confirmed that the storyline in The Fantastic Four: First Steps will serve as a direct precursor to Avengers: Doomsday.
At present, Marvel isn’t revealing any specifics about the Avengers: Doomsday storyline. Nevertheless, fans are eagerly discussing various possibilities. One intriguing theory is that Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Doctor Doom, might make an appearance or at least be hinted at. Another speculation revolves around the post-credit scene of Thunderbolts possibly being addressed in some form.
In a colorful, 1960s-inspired world blending the past and the future, Marvel Studios presents “Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps,” where we meet the initial family of superheroes – Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing). They confront their toughest challenge to date.
In the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, Julia Garner takes on the roles of Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson portrays Galactus. The star-studded cast also includes John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Paul Walter Hauser.
2025 finds me counting down the days until I hit the theater to catch “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” on July 25th! Next up in my superhero movie marathon is “Avengers: Doomsday”, set to release on December 18, 2026. Can’t wait to see what unfolds in “Avengers: Secret Wars” when it premieres a year later on December 17, 2027!
