Mickey Mouse Kills YouTubers in I Heart Willie Trailer

The film company, Reel2Reel Films, has unveiled the official preview for the forthcoming “I Heart Willie” slasher horror movie, due to hit digital platforms on June 23rd. This follows a limited theater run in North America, which took place on February 26th.

What happens in the I Heart Willie trailer?

The video showcases a team of digital entertainers who are now under threat from an unhinged Mickey Mouse assassin, modeled after Disney’s renowned animated short film, Steamboat Willie. It offers viewers a sneak peek into some brutal scenes of the movie as the characters strive to free themselves from the grip of Willie.

The movie titled ‘I Heart Willie’ is helmed by director Alejandro G. Alegre from a script penned by David Vaughn, who also takes on the role of the main antagonist. Joining Vaughn in the cast are Maya Luna, Micho Camacho, Sergio Rogalto, and Daniela Porras. The film was produced by Vaughn and Princeton Holt, along with Liz Sanchez and Arturo Renteria. The horror retelling was shot on-site in Michoacán, Mexico. Prior to its US debut, it made its premiere at the Morbido Film Fest in Mexico City. ‘I Heart Willie’ is a project of Hewes Pictures, with Rubey Entertainment managing its distribution.

In the official summary, characters Daniel and Nico are enticed by the tale of Steamboat Willie, a supposedly real boy born with unusual features resembling both a human and a mouse. This legend is said to have inspired Disney’s early animation. Curious, they decide to investigate. They initially consider the story a myth, but as YouTubers, they are about to uncover the shocking reality behind this urban legend.

As the duo prepared for an evening, armed with their discoveries of excitement and shivers, they unknowingly stepped into Willie’s clubhouse – a den of terror, where brutal torment and chaos lurk. This isn’t a shy mouse you should fear… Give some affection to I Heart Willie!
