This aspect is significant because numerous games owe their continued existence to these mods. For instance, Fallout: New Vegas, which has been around for 15 years now, boasts over 37 thousand mods alone, with fresh ones being added regularly. However, after 24 years of operation, it’s time for a transformation.

After all, what draws us here is the fact that it was created by gamers for gamers – a sanctuary where we can share and enjoy modding without corporate interference.
Unfortunately, the identity of the buyer remains unknown, leaving us in the dark about the details of the deal. All we know is the name “Chosen,” a company rumored to be taking over. The concern arises because this company seems to prioritize unlimited growth, monetization strategies, and NFTs – elements that could potentially tarnish NexusMods’ unique spirit.
I hope our concerns are misplaced, as NexusMods truly doesn’t deserve such a shift in direction.
