Cineverse has announced the release dates for Return to Silent Hill and Silent Night, Deadly Night.
In a joint effort, Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting’s horror sector are partnering with Iconic Events Releasing to present both films in movie theaters.
When are the release dates for Return to Silent Hill and Silent Night, Deadly Night?
According to the deadline, the movie “Silent Night, Deadly Night” will premiere in theatres on December 12, 2025. The film “Return to Silent Hill” is scheduled for release one month earlier on January 23, 2026.
Silent Night, Deadly Night is a remake of the 1984 movie with the same title. In this film, Rohan Campbell portrays Billy Chapman, a young man who watched his parents get murdered by a man dressed as Santa Claus. After enduring years of emotional torture and trauma, an older Billy decides to wear the Santa suit and goes on a rampage, murdering people himself.
Ruby Modine stars as Pamela. Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson also star.
Mike P. Nelson (known for V/H/S/85) serves as both writer and director for the movie titled Silent Night, Deadly Night. The original 1984 production was produced by Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead. For this new version, they will team up with Jamie R. Thompson, Erik Bernard, and Jeremy Torrie to produce the film.
In simpler terms, “Return to Silent Hill” is the third movie in a scary series inspired by Konami’s video game collection. The film features Jeremy Irvine as James, a man who’s been hurt after his relationship with his beloved Mary, portrayed by Hannah Emily Anderson, ended.
A letter from Mary, who’s a mystery, summons him back to Silent Hill. When he arrives, he sees that the town is no longer familiar due to some unknown evil. He starts searching for Mary, and along the way, encounters terrifying monsters. As he digs deeper into the town’s secrets, he discovers more about what happened to it, but these revelations only lead to a shocking truth. James must now fight to stay alive long enough to rescue his beloved Mary.
Christophe Gans, known for directing the initial Silent Hill film, is both the director and co-writer of the upcoming project titled “Return to Silent Hill.” The producers for this venture are Victor Hadida from Davis Films and Molly Hassell of Hassell Free Productions. Akira Yamaoka, renowned for his game compositions, is responsible for creating the soundtrack.
