The film Jailer 2, featuring the renowned actor Rajinikanth, is currently under production and several other actors are anticipated to join the cast. However, specifics about the movie have yet to be disclosed. There’s been talk that director Nelson Dilipkumar might bring in Shah Rukh Khan for a brief role, but it remains unconfirmed whether this is true or not.
According to a report from X handle on Box Office – South India, Shah Rukh Khan is not included in the film and won’t make a cameo appearance for the sequel. Nevertheless, there are whispers that another Bollywood actor might join the project, but further details will be revealed later.
For those who haven’t heard, Jailer 2 marks the follow-up to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. This pulse-pounding action-thriller centers around “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian, a character once a jail warden, now portrayed by the renowned actor.
Initially, the movie’s opening part centered around a former prison guard seeking retribution against those involved in his son’s demise. Yet, as the plot unfolds, a chilling secret emerges, transforming the narrative into a high-stakes heist scenario.

According to some reports, it’s possible that Nagarjuna Akkineni may take on the role of the primary villain in an upcoming project; however, this has not been officially verified as of now.
In terms of Rajinikanth’s professional life, the renowned figure last appeared in the leading role of the action-drama “Vettaiyan”. This film was helmed by director TJ Gnanavel and portrayed Rajinikanth as a police officer known for his tough stance against criminals. However, a pivotal case presents him with a moral dilemma.
In the near future, you can expect the actor to grace the big screens with his upcoming movie titled “Coolie”. This film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and falls under the category of action-packed entertainers. It’s scheduled for release on August 14, 2025, featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao in significant roles.
