Here’s a more casual and friendly way to explain the situation: Springtrap, a terrifying character from another popular horror game, has made its way into Dead by Daylight! This might be your first time playing the game, and if you’re interested in getting Springtrap on your team, here’s how you can do it. Just remember that he goes by the name “The Animatronic” within this game. Enjoy the new addition to the horror experience!
How to get Springtrap in Dead By Daylight
If you’ve bought Dead by Daylight and are seeking Springtrap, you’ll need to invest in the Dead by Daylight: Five Nights at Freddy’s DLC. You can find this additional content on the marketplace of your gaming platform – look for it on Xbox Store, PS Store, Steam, and so forth. Regrettably, there’s a cost associated with it, but it should set you back roughly $5.
Currently, it appears that Sprintrap cannot be obtained for free. However, if purchasing the full DLC isn’t your preference, you can acquire the character within the game’s internal marketplace using 500 Auric Cells instead.
How to get Auric Cells
To obtain Auric Cells, first select the character you desire, then find the button displaying the number of Auric Cells required for that character. If you lack sufficient Auric Cells, a “Purchase Auric Cells” option will appear. Click it to view bundle prices. Each bundle purchased will be charged through your platform’s regular online store. For instance, Springtrap costs 500 Auric Cells, equivalent to $5. However, if the entire DLC is priced similarly, you may find more value in buying the DLC directly instead.
Springtrap Power and Perks
- Springtrap Power: Fazbear’s Fright – The Animatronic can launch a powerful projectile, which embeds itself in a Survivor and makes them susceptible to a terrifying close-range grab attack. They will be Broken, Oblivious, and unable to heal until they remove the projectile. A near miss will briefly highlight the Survivor with Killer Instinct. You may automatically recall the projectile back to your hand.
- Help Wanted – Damage a Generator to make it Compromised. When the Compromised Generator is repaired, your Basic Attacks have a shorter cooldown for a duration.
- Phantom Fear – When a Survivor in your Terror Radius looks at you, they scream and briefly reveal their Aura. This Perk has a short cooldown.
- Haywire – Exit Gates will steadily regress. While regressing, Survivors will see the lights randomly flicker.
