Production has begun on The Pitt Season 2.
Produced by R. Scott Gemmill, this Max Original drama series is filmed on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, California, while exterior scenes are captured in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In the initial picture for season 2, Noah Wyle portrays Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, while Ken Kirby takes on the role of Dr. John Shen. It appears that Dr. Robby is donning his coat and probably arriving early at work to relieve Dr. Shen, who was the senior attending during the night shift.

What is The Pitt Season 2 about?
Our story offers an authentic portrayal of the trials faced by medical professionals in current-day America, focusing on the experiences of valiant frontline workers at a contemporary hospital in Pittsburgh.
In the Pitt’s format, we delve into a day in the life of Dr. Robby, the head attending physician, as he works for fifteen hours at the make-believe Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center’s emergency room. Each episode of the first season corresponds to one hour of his shift.
In the second season of “The Pitt,” we’ll maintain the same structure while showcasing Dr. Robby’s work schedule during a Fourth of July weekend. The narrative resumes approximately 10 months following the end of Season 1 finale events.
As a gamer immersed in The Pitt’s world, I’m graced with the presence of some exceptional talents. There’s Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, and the captivating Shabana Azeez. Each one brings their unique flair to the game, making every interaction richer and more engaging.
The Pitt is created jointly by John Wells Production and Warner Bros. Television. A team of executive producers, consisting of Gemmill, Wyle, John Wells, Michael Hissrich, Erin Jontown, and Simran Baidwan, are overseeing the production.
