In a recent open conversation, Jason Isaacs – known for his role as Harry Potter’s Lucius Malfoy – shared an unsettling incident involving a well-known actor from a previous production. Without disclosing the identity, he discussed inappropriate conduct that took place off-camera. With this revelation, there is growing interest in learning more about what Isaacs had to say.
Jason Isaacs talks about ‘worst bully ever’
Jason Isaacs, recognized for his work in Harry Potter, The White Lotus, and Star Trek: Discovery, recently shared an account of a challenging encounter he had with a well-known actor during filming. In a recent conversation with Vulture, without mentioning the actor directly, Isaacs reminisced about working alongside an extremely famous individual who he labeled as “the ultimate schoolyard bully.
When inquired about a tale he had shared previously, involving a colleague who once shoved him out of the camera’s view, Isaacs didn’t hold back and provided more details. He stated, “Goodness me… they did much more than that. They were an absolute terror and a worldwide icon. They used to perform completely differently off-camera compared to on. Yes, it was dreadful. I had never experienced anything like it before.” Isaacs also mentioned that earlier, he admired the actor deeply. He said, “I would have worshipped the ground this person walked on back then.
On more than one occasion, Isaacs has alluded to the incident without explicitly naming who it involved. He first hinted at the encounter back in 2011 with The Telegraph and again in 2020 during his interview with Backstage. Although he didn’t disclose the person directly, Isaacs admitted that he has many such stories involving prominent figures in the industry. However, he prefers not to publicly reveal their identities. In his own words, “Revealing the truth about people I’ve collaborated with or experiences I’ve had serves no purpose other than self-harm and destruction. Acting is all about keeping secrets.
As a gamer, I often ponder over the unprofessional actions I find unacceptable among peers, such as rudeness, egoism, or disregard for teammates. To put it bluntly, it’s about skipping out, leaving early, thinking they run the show instead of the director, or being under the influence and summoning escorts to their personal space. I’ve seen it all too often.
