General Hospital’s Amanda Setton on Why Brook Lynn Slapped Lulu

The on-going feud between characters Brook Lynn, played by Amanda Setton, and Lulu, portrayed by Alexa Havins, has frequently added a dramatic edge to the series General Hospital. This tension reached a critical point when Setton’s character struck Lulu following Lulu’s refusal to reconcile after causing significant pain to Brook and Gio, played by Giovanni Mazza.

In a recent chat, Setton delved into the pivotal story arc that shapes General Hospital and offered her unique perspective on it.

Amanda Setton says Lulu’s attitude prompted Brook Lynn to slap her in General Hospital

Amanda Setton recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest about her character’s aggressive response, stemming from Lulu’s disrespectful behavior following her snooping incident that led to Gio discovering his real parentage at the Nurses’ Ball – a significant revelation. Consequently, events have been quite chaotic since then.

In a recent conversation, I found myself reflecting on my on-screen adversary, the talented Alexa Havins, whom I hold in high regard. However, when it comes to Lulu, I must admit that I felt the slap was well-deserved, considering her deep involvement in Brook Lynn’s affairs. “Lulu has been relentless!” I exclaimed, emphasizing my feelings. Moreover, Brook Lynn is beyond furious and seems to have reached the end of her tether. “She’s at her wit’s end!” I continued, explaining that Lynn had simply had enough and lost control, leading to her outburst.

Originally, the actor from The Crazy Ones shared insights on why there’s a gap between them, noting that Lulu didn’t fully appreciate Brook’s character development, which could be a factor influencing her interactions with Brook.

However, it was when Maxie presented a chance for Lulu and Brook Lynn to reconcile that things took a turn. But Lulu declined to entertain the idea. Setton remarked, “Well, Maxie offered both Lulu and Brook Lynn an opportunity to patch things up, but Brook Lynn is hesitant and Lulu remains unyielding. In the end, Brook Lynn shows more maturity by saying she’s willing to put the past behind them for the sake of their children, Gio and Rocco, and extend an olive branch. Yet, Lulu refuses to apologize! That’s why [she slapped her]. This isn’t a random act!

The upcoming episodes will see the drama escalate in General Hospital.
