How to unlock Mirror Mode – Mario Kart World

In Mario Kart World, you can access Mirror Mode once you’ve successfully accomplished some tasks. This mode reverses the tracks, allowing you to race them in reverse or even upside-down – it’s quite a challenge! Keep in mind that unlocking this feature requires effort, so let’s dive right in.

How to unlock Mirror Mode

In Mirror Mode, you can gain access once you’ve gathered numerous collectibles, triumphed in several Grand Prix races, endured the challenges of Knockout Tours, and successfully completed the Special Cup events. Here is a breakdown of the process:

1. Gather many collectibles.
2. Win multiple Grand Prix races.
3. Survive the rounds in Knockout Tours.
4. Complete the Special Cup events.

  1. Complete 10 P Switch challenges
  2. Collect 10 Peach Medallions
  3. Activate 10 ? Panels
  4. Complete all 8 Grand Prix 150cc cups
  5. Complete all 8 Knockout Tours 150cc rallies (fourth or better)
  6. Finish the Grand Prix 150cc Special Cup

The abundance of collectibles makes them an effortless task. Navigate to our Shackmaps page and explore the Mario Kart World interactive map to find out which ones are up for grabs. You need to gather 10 instances of each type of collectible: P Switches, Peach Medallions, and mystery panels.

Once you’ve gathered everything, concentrate on completing each and every race in the Grand Prix 150cc series. It doesn’t matter if you don’t come in first; just make sure you cross the finish line.

The next task involves completing the Knockout Tour 150cc rallies. Similar to the previous stage, it’s not necessary to come in first, but you should aim to secure a position no lower than fourth.

As a thrill-seeking racer, I’m excitedly counting down to the ultimate challenge: completing the Special Cup Grand Prix on the 150cc variant. After hurtling along the iconic Rainbow Road, I eagerly anticipate receiving a message confirming that Mirror Mode has been unlocked. If it hasn’t, I’ll double-check that I’ve met all other prerequisites for this coveted feature!

How to play Mirror Mode

As a gamer, I’d say: Instead of choosing the standard CC version, you can opt for Mirror Mode from the same menu. In Free Roam, you can access Mirror Mode by cruising over to Peach Stadium and driving right through the tinted glass window atop Princess Peach’s castle.

In Mario Kart World, enabling Mirror Mode requires some effort. Some players may find the 150cc races particularly challenging, while others might struggle with the P Switches. However, once you meet these conditions, you’ll have a unique experience as you race in reverse! For additional assistance with mastering Nintendo’s popular racer, visit our Mario Kart World page.
