There’s been a lot of excitement about the upcoming series called “American Love Story” ever since it was first announced. It’s expected to explore the dramatic love story, marriage, and untimely deaths of a couple known as American royalty. The recent release of “camera test” photos has generated quite a buzz because they closely resemble the iconic ’90s figures. Playing the tragic couple will be newcomers Paul Kelly as John F. Kennedy Jr., and Sarah Pidgeon as Carolyn Bessette. On Instagram, the first glimpses of this production were unveiled, featuring both still images and brief costume test videos. These initial looks instantly highlight the uncanny resemblance between the actors and their real-life counterparts.
The show will delve into the intense scrutiny faced by their famous relationship, balancing this with their busy individual careers and family disagreements, all while under constant media attention. The storyline culminates in their heartbreaking plane crash in 1999. To add to its stellar cast, the series includes Naomi Watts portraying Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy. Other significant characters are Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein, a renowned fashion designer, and Leila George as his wife, Kelly Klein, creating a vivid depiction of ’90s high society.
Filming for the upcoming series started in New York City just lately, and it’s slated to debut during Valentine’s Week of next year.
