Fans can hardly contain their excitement for the upcoming Season 4 of Ted Lasso, and actor Nick Mohammed has given a mysterious hint about the possible comeback of his character. In the popular series, Mohammed played Nathan “Nate” Shelley, a character whose storyline took unexpected turns between good and bad over the course of the three seasons. Given these ups and downs, viewers have grown curious about Nate’s future.
Nick Mohammed says ‘who knows if Nate’ is in Ted Lasso Season 4
In a recent chat with the Associated Press Entertainment, the actor known for Deep Cover mentioned a potential return as Nate in Ted Lasso Season 4. However, during this conversation, Mohammed was cautious about revealing too many details about the upcoming season. He did subtly suggest, though, that the character of Nate might not play a significant role.
The comedian hinted that he might not be able to reveal much more, but suggested that women’s football could feature at AFC Richmond in Season 4. He added that it was uncertain whether Nate would still be there since he is an excellent coach who may have moved on to other opportunities by then.
Initially working as a modest equipment manager with a knack for training, Nate found an opportunity to showcase his skills on the grandest platform. Not only did he successfully pull AFC Richmond out of a challenging situation, but his abilities were also recognized and praised openly. Yet, fame began to corrupt him, leading him to collaborate with Rebecca Welton’s former spouse as the head coach for West Ham United. For much of Season 3, Nate grappled with his questionable choices, but eventually made amends by apologizing to his Richmond teammates and returning to serve as their assistant equipment manager.
Although Hannah Waddingham, portraying Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso, has verified that production for Season 4 starts in July, no definite launch date for the new season has been announced as of now.
