To gather all essential items for survival within The Alters, a scanner could prove indispensable. But, here’s the catch: nothing is ever truly straightforward in this world. You see, everything requires time – even seemingly insignificant actions now can have far-reaching implications later in the game.
How to build a scanner in The Alters
To create a scanner, head over to the workshop. There, you’ll encounter a substantial machine designed for fabricating various items. However, this particular machine is divided into two sections. On the left, you’ll notice an icon resembling a screwdriver; engage that section, pick ‘Scanner’ from the options, and then add it to your build list on the right side of the screen.
Firstly, please close the menu and proceed towards the section of the machine which features the conveyor belt. Engage with it, and you’ll soon be busy assembling the items effectively. Failure to do so will prevent production of the item. Take your time with this task, and you’ll receive your scanner.
Secondly, venture outside and search for the Organics that are essential for shifting the base of operations before sunrise in a few days.
Once you begin generating Alters, you have the option to delegate one to the workshop where they’ll manufacture whatever has been previously queued. Additionally, you can choose items for production directly from the Production tab in your interface, eliminating the need to revisit the workshop specifically to arrange production setup. When your assigned Alter completes its task, it will notify you, at which point you can assign a new job.
