As a gamer, I jumped back into the limelight with a bang, hosting the Betty Booze launch event barely a few days after a federal judge tossed out Justin Baldoni’s massive $400 million countersuit against me. The whole thing was about claims of defamation, extortion, and messing with contracts.
Here’s what the judge dismissed and what comes next in the legal battle.
Blake Lively says she is ‘proud to be’ part of the Betty Booze drinks launch
On June 11, Blake Lively made an appearance at the Maxwell Social event in New York City. There, she unveiled two fresh additions to her line of canned cocktails under the brand name Betty Booze – vodka iced teas.
The actress unveiled Meyer Lemonade and Passion Fruit flavors, likening them to familiar dishes from “my hometown, recipes we constantly re-create.” Speaking at the event, Lively, aged 37, shared, “We’ve invested a great deal of effort into each flavor, genuinely,” further emphasizing, “we feel incredibly honored to be here.

The brand, Lively, launched in 2023 as a sister label to Betty Buzz, currently offers tequila and bourbon-based cocktails. They’ve decided to expand their “bar” lineup by introducing vodka due to its subtle and popular flavor. The new addition is described as an ideal backdrop for their new teas, which are reminiscent of her Southern roots. Iced tea, particularly during the summertime, is a classic in the South.
Lively suggested that vodka iced teas are best enjoyed in relaxed environments. She explained, “Whenever you’d typically have iced tea or an Arnold Palmer with alcohol is when you’d have this.” In other words, it’s suitable for parties, dining at home, restaurants, or wherever feels comfortable to you.
She mentioned that her character Emily from Another Simple Favor would rather have a stronger concoction of Meyer Lemonade vodka tea. This drink aligns with Emily’s Capri-themed wedding. “I believe Emily would increase the amount of vodka in our [pre-mixed teas] significantly because ours are quite mild, and she certainly isn’t.
After a federal judge threw out Justin Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against her, Lively made an appearance. This occurred just days after she had initially filed a lawsuit in December, claiming sexual harassment and retaliation. By June 23rd, Baldoni’s legal team has the option to modify two of the dismissed allegations. The trial is set for March 2026.
