Scarlett Johansson, a long-time Marvel Cinematic Universe stalwart, is credited as an executive producer for the newest MCU film, “Thunderbolts.” Interestingly, Johansson herself requested to be omitted from the film’s credits.
What did Scarlett Johansson say about Thunderbolts*?
In a recent chat, Johnassson spoke with David Harbour, known for his role as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian in Thunderbolts*. Interestingly, Johnassson and Harbour previously collaborated on Black Widow within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During their conversation, Harbour extended a congratulatory note to Johnassson regarding her executive producer credit for Thunderbolts*. However, Johnassson promptly elaborated on why she declined this acknowledgment.
Johnson stated that he requested the removal of the credit since he wasn’t part of it, during an interview with Harbour at Interview Magazine.” (This sentence conveys the same meaning as the original statement, but in a more straightforward and simplified manner.)
Harbor playfully suggested that Johansson disliked that film, to which the actress responded, “No, you’re simply hoping I felt that way.
A number of Marvel actors have gathered in London for the upcoming film, “Avengers: Doomsday.” Harbour is just one of the numerous actors scheduled to appear in the next Avengers production. Johansson hinted that some of her “companions” will be featured in “Doomsday.
Following Harbour’s confession about being in Doomsday, Johansson remarked, “My magical Marvel touch hasn’t deserted me yet. Even without a contract with Marvel, I’m still managing to keep your secrets under wraps.
Harbor remarked, “Well, Scarlett, it’s quite clear that everyone is aware of your hidden role.” He continued, “And as for Black Widow, we all suspect she’ll make a comeback after seemingly meeting her end.
Johansson’s character, Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow, has not been featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since her last appearance in “Black Widow.” Tragically, her character met her end in “Avengers: Endgame,” choosing selflessly to allow Clint Barton to retrieve the Soul Stone. Recently, Johansson disclosed to Harbour the reasons why she is unable to reprise her role in the MCU.
In simpler terms, Johansson stated, “If I were to return from the dead, it would mean that half of the world’s population has perished. Haven’t you watched Endgame?
Currently, Thunderbolts can be seen on the big screen. Simultaneously, Scarlett Johansson features as a star in Jurassic World: Dominion, set to debut in theaters on July 2nd.
