5 romance books we’re swooning over in June

As summer arrives, it’s a delightful moment to dive into some heartwarming romance novels! Much like myself, I imagine many of you have been engrossed in romantic tales all year round.

Some people might require an incentive to delve into a romance novel, but summer offers the ideal opportunity. Therefore, I thought it would be fitting to share some of the June romance releases that have made their way onto my reading list, also known as my To Be Read pile. Although I’ve previewed a few already, there are others eagerly waiting to join the queue.

If you’re thinking about traveling in June or have free time coming up over the summer, reading could be an enjoyable pastime to try out. For myself, I tend to read more during summer since I prefer staying indoors with the air conditioning while relaxing with my Kindle or favorite hardcopy book.

Whether you finish just two books a month or twenty, it’s guaranteed that you’ll discover fresh titles for your To-Be-Read list in June.

These 5 romance books are coming in June and to our TBRs.

1. Caught Up by Navessa Allen

As a movie enthusiast, I usually prefer to delve into less mainstream titles, but when it comes to compiling my list, I simply couldn’t resist adding “Caught Up” by Navessa Allen. This is a sequel to the well-known “Lights Out,” and this time around, we find ourselves immersed in the love story between Nico/Junior and Lauren. If you’ve read “Lights Out,” you’ll recall that Navessa Allen tantalizingly set the stage for what was to come, and trust me, there’s plenty to look forward to!

Although I received an advanced reader copy (ARC) of the book earlier, I realized I couldn’t read it before its official launch on June 10th. But since I’m a big fan of Navessa Allen’s literary style, I can’t wait to dive into the book as soon as possible.

2. Finders Keepers by Sarah Adler

The second book on my reading list is one I promptly added to my “To Be Read” pile because I’ve enjoyed Sarah Adler’s previous two books. I plan to make time for this one as well, so you might see a review from me in June. Since the book is released on June 24th, there’s still enough time to read it before then.

Title “Finders Keepers”: A Treasure Hunt Romance

“Finders Keepers” is a romance novel with an adventure at its heart, as it follows characters Quentin and Nina who embark on resuming an old treasure hunt. This story promises excitement and mischief along the way, with a touch of emotional depth. Author Sarah Adler excels at blending humor with heartfelt moments, making this book a perfect fit for our list.

3. Total Dreamboat by Katelyn Doyle

Coming up next is a book by an author I haven’t read yet, but I’m eager to give it a go. You might remember Katelyn Doyle as the author of her first novel titled “Just Some Stupid Love Story“. Her upcoming book, “Total Dreamboat“, is set for release on June 24th. As you can see, June 24th promises to be a significant day for new book releases.

In a delightful twist, the story revolves around Hope and Felix, who find themselves aboard the same ocean liner. At first, they can’t stand it, but destiny has other plans when their gazes meet. It appears almost too perfect, yet fate has a way of making things seem that way. However, all that sweetness turns sour when they find themselves stranded, and the true drama unfolds. If you’re planning a cruise or a beach holiday this summer, this book could be your ideal travel companion!

4. Alice Chen’s Reality Check by Kara Loo and Jennifer Young

I’ll tell you straight up: I don’t just stick to romance novels; though I do love them (98% of my reading is romance), I occasionally dabble in thrillers and mysteries too. That’s why the plot for Alice Chen’s Reality Check appealed to me greatly. It was published on June 3rd, so it’s available now! If you’re done here, you can jump right into it if you wish.

5. Plus Size Player by Danielle Allen

The final book on my reading list is “Plus Size Player” by Danielle Allen, a title that has me genuinely eager despite some reservations about the first book in the series. It’s set for release on June 10th, promising to be an enticing read for the summer months. I’m aiming to finish it before June concludes, as its intriguing synopsis has piqued my interest significantly.

In this novel titled “Plus Size Player“, we follow Nina, a woman who is often referred to as a “player” because she seems to have a different man for every emotional state or desire. Things become more intriguing when she encounters a man who captures her interest but there are certain obstacles. Interestingly, this book immediately caught my attention upon seeing its cover and if you haven’t yet read Danielle Allen, I would strongly recommend doing so without further delay!

Here are a few June romance novels I’ve added to my reading list. I hope a few of these pique your interest too. At the very least, one of them could make an ideal beach read for your upcoming holiday.

I’ve included some romance books from June in my reading queue. Perhaps you might find some appealing as well. At the least, one may turn out to be a perfect leisurely read for your next vacation.
