Back in the ’80s, everything oozed style, whether it was the roller rinks or the dance clubs – even crime had its own unique glamour. If you didn’t make an impression while snatching valuable loot, were you really a thief at all? Publisher Annapurna Interactive is partnering with developer No Goblin (creators of Roundabout and 100ft Robot Golf) to bring us Snap & Grab, an espionage game set in the ’80s. But this isn’t your typical heist game – instead, it has a distinctive photography theme running through it.
At the 2025 Summer Game Fest Edition of Day of the Devs on Friday, Snap & Grab was unveiled. This game emphasizes executing elaborate heists, yet the meticulous planning phase is equally crucial. Players will use their camera to survey prospective crime scenes, snapping images of significant details such as the target, guards, possible meeting spots, and diversions. Once enough photos have been taken, players can arrange these images in a manner that strategizes their upcoming heist.
As a criminal player progresses, they might gather associates who can contribute unique skills to their future heists. These team members offer fresh strategies for planning the next illegal activities. However, with each successful crime, there’s an increased chance of drawing unwanted notice – and eventually, the sharp eyes of a tenacious detective who becomes relentless in pursuing them.
Visualize the launch of Snap & Grab on a Personal Computer (PC), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S happening around early 2026.
