Classic Mortal Kombat Games Get Rerelease, Watch Reveal Trailer

At the June 2025 PlayStation State of Play, Digital Eclipse and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment unveiled Mortal Kombat: Legacy Collection. This compilation consists of eight games from the iconic fighting game series.

What games are in the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection?

Similar to Digital Eclipse’s latest offerings, the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection offers multiple editions of each game. For instance, you’ll find the arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, and 32X versions of Mortal Kombat II that can be played. Additionally, it includes an interactive documentary with appearances by creators such as Ed Boon, John Tobias, Dan Forden, and John Vogel.

  • Mortal Kombat – 1992 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear)
  • Mortal Kombat II – 1993 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, 32X)

  • Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance – 2002 (Game Boy Advance)
  • Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition – 2003 (Game Boy Advance)

In 2025, the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2 (if available), original Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The exact release date has yet to be disclosed.
